For more than 20 years, the JMH Health Plan has been committed to serving the healthcare needs of the South Florida community, providing managed health services and benefits.

The JMH Health Plan was founded as a pilot project and was created to determine if managed care was a viable health care alternative for the medically needy.   With grant monies and commitments from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the State of Florida Department of H.R.S. and the Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County (PHT), the JMH Health Plan began providing managed healthcare services to members in 1985.

Today, the JMH Health Plan is a fully licensed health maintenance organization (HMO) in the State of Florida.   The Public Health Trust Board of Trustees is responsible for the operation, maintenance and governance of its facilities and programs.
