For more than 20 years, the JMH Health Plan has been committed to serving the healthcare needs of the South Florida community, providing managed health services and benefits. Our benefit plans are designed to meet the needs of our members while offering access to one of South Florida’s most comprehensive networks of quality healthcare providers. Our customer satisfaction scores are among the highest in the State of Florida.
Founded as a pilot project, the JMH Health Plan was created to determine if managed care was a viable health care alternative for the medically needy. With grant monies and commitments from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the State of Florida Department of H.R.S. and the Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County (PHT), the JMH Health Plan began providing managed healthcare services to members in 1985.
Today, the JMH Health Plan is a fully licensed health maintenance organization (HMO) in the State of Florida, is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and provides healthcare services to more than 105,000 commercial and Medicaid members. The Public Health Trust Board of Trustees is responsible for the operation, maintenance and governance of its facilities and programs. In addition to Jackson Health System hospitals, the PHT oversees numerous satellites, including primary care centers, nursing homes and the JMH Health Plan.
Providing access to quality care remains a cornerstone of our mission. Our network, which is anchored by one of America’s finest medical facilities, Jackson Memorial Hospital, offers our members access to more than 3,000 physicians and 32 hospitals in Miami-Dade and Broward counties alone. All of our providers are duly credentialed by the JMH Health Plan in accordance with federal, State of Florida and industry requirements.
Join us and experience our dedication and commitment to providing the excellent service that you and your dependents deserve.
At JMH Health Plan, we are family, we are one!
